- survey of
teachers that were trained
- survey of
teachers that were not trained
- survey will
detail teacher need and guide future training objectives

4. Train
group of teachers on a specific unit to integrate four-to-one iPads into
pedagogy.
5. Have
another controlled group that is not trained in this area.
6. Evaluate
outcomes of students' gained knowledge between the two groups.
7. Share a
weekly tip for resources teachers can
use for further professional development implementing iPads four-to-one.

Marli, I noticed that your evaluation (#6) does not seem to have any details regarding the tools you will use to evaluate and how all that will be done. I think it might help if you went ahead and detailed out exactly how you plan to evaluate. As it reads there doesn't seem to be a method for evaluation. Does this make sense? Seems like one of the biggest parts of the project but no fleshing out of how. Beyond that it seems well put together and a good idea for the project.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks great to me. The only thing I have a question on is the same as Chris. How are you going to assess your students' knowledge gain? I so need to get busting on mine. :) It does look amazing.
ReplyDeleteI believe our district is way behind in technology. We don't even have ipads for any age. This research plan will be interesting to find out how kindergarten students respond to ipads in an educational setting. I like the way you are using one trained and one not to show the comparison.
ReplyDeleteMarli, I agree try to be more specific on how you are evaluating your students knowledge. Do you plan to evaluate their knowledge of using an iPad? Or evaluating the content knowledge using a paper test given to students in your class versus another class without iPads? Or both? Also, when you conduct surveys are these surveys taken from your students or other teachers who are also using iPads?
ReplyDeleteI like how many resources you are putting into your research especially your weekly tips, that will be a great tool for your fellow teachers.
I really like the details you have put into the plan Marli . I like your per-assessment of students knowledge and the weekly sharing of idea in your plan. I think it is very well thought out and comprehensive. . Good luck!.
